We now help to adopt and foster guinea pigs! Here are some starter facts and resources, along with our guinea pig information packet below.
Guinea pigs need a lot of space to run around. A small cage is cruel, much like it would be with any other pet, be it a rabbit, dog, or cat.
They enjoy a companion, and best to be of the same sex to avoid babies
They need to eat Timothy hay as their main diet - there are special Guinea Pig pellets as food supplement (about 1/8 cup per day)
They need a source of vitamin C (for example, a quarter of a green or yellow bell pepper without the seeds)
